Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your registration for and attendance at The Work Abroad Annual Summit 2026 ("the Summit"), and your use of theworkabroadsummit.co.uk ("the Website"). The Summit is organised by Workium Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (together, "Workium", "we", "our").

By registering, applying, exhibiting or otherwise participating, you agree to these Terms. If you disagree with any part, please do not register.

You must be at least 18 years old to attend or apply for a portal account.

Partner-agency and exhibitor accounts are subject to verification of the applying entity's licensing, credentials and standing under applicable employment and immigration laws in the relevant jurisdictions.

Registration to attend is confirmed only after we send a written confirmation. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel registrations at our discretion, including where accreditation cannot be verified, where a Code of Conduct breach is anticipated, or where public-safety or venue-capacity considerations require.

Portal accounts (Partner and Exhibitor) are non-transferable, must not be shared, and remain the property of Workium.

Where fees apply (booth reservations, exhibitor stands, sponsorship packages, paid delegate passes), all fees are payable in the currency shown at the point of purchase and are exclusive of VAT unless expressly stated otherwise.

Payments are non-refundable within thirty (30) days of the Summit date. Cancellations made more than thirty (30) days before the Summit will be refunded less an administration fee equal to twenty percent (20%) of the fees paid. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within fourteen (14) working days.

In the event that Workium cancels the Summit for reasons within its control, fees will be refunded in full. Where cancellation results from force majeure (see clause 10), fees may be credited to a future edition or refunded net of unrecoverable costs.

By attending, you consent to being photographed, filmed or recorded by Workium and its authorised media partners for use in post-event materials, marketing communications and social media. Should you wish to opt out, please notify us in writing at hello@theworkabroadsummit.co.uk at least forty-eight (48) hours before the Summit.

All content on the Website — including the Workium mark, the Summit wordmark, copy, imagery and logos — remains the intellectual property of Workium or its licensors. No content may be reproduced, redistributed or used commercially without written permission.

All delegates, partners, exhibitors and staff are expected to comply with the published Summit Code of Conduct. Workium reserves the right to remove any participant whose behaviour breaches the Code or applicable law, without refund.

The Summit processes personal data in accordance with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and Kenya's Data Protection Act 2019. Full detail is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Partner agencies and exhibitors warrant that they hold all licences required to recruit, market or operate in the destination markets they represent, and that they will conduct themselves in accordance with ethical recruitment principles at the Summit and in any follow-on engagement with delegates.

Workium may, at its sole discretion, refuse or terminate a partnership where it becomes aware of any material breach of the above, without refund of fees paid.

You agree not to use the Website in any way that is unlawful, harmful, or that interferes with the operation of our services. We may suspend or restrict access where such use is suspected.

Neither party will be liable for delay or failure to perform arising from causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to acts of government, epidemic, pandemic, war, civil unrest, industrial action, terrorism, or serious disruption to travel or utilities. In such circumstances Workium will endeavour to reschedule or move the Summit online, with fees credited proportionally.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Workium's total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Summit or these Terms is limited to the fees actually paid by the relevant party for the relevant edition of the Summit. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, save that Workium reserves the right to bring proceedings in any jurisdiction where it may enforce its rights.
